Millionaires choose Cyprus
The international consulting company Knight Frank revealed in The Wealth Report 2019 the investment preferences of millionaires whose net assets exceed $ 30 million annually.
Last year the highest demand among wealthy Russians was for houses and apartments in Cyprus, Malta and the UK, Knight Frank pointed out. Among all foreigners buying Real Estate in Cyprus, Russian citizens came in the second place (Chinese —first and Ukrainian — third).
According to Knight Frank, by the end of 2019, the number of ultra high net worth individuals in the world reached 513.2 thousand people (31 thousand more than in 2018). Russia has 8,924 multimillionaires (331 more than a year earlier), of which 103 are the dollar billionaires.
