Cyprus tighten control over providers of the Cyprus Investment Program
On August 17, amendments were made to the Cyprus Investment Program that will tighten control over service providers assisting in filing applications for the citizenship under the Cyprus Investment Program. The changes will primarily affect developers. Pursuant to new rules, only licensed companies accountable to regulatory authorities will participate in the preparation of documents.
The process of granting citizenship under the Cyprus Investment Program was carried out according to the updated rules, but the processing time of the documents increased due to the pandemic.
