Electronic signature may be introduced in Cyprus in 2020
An electronic signature will allow you to receive documents, submit applications, register companies in Cyprus without physical presence. You can go through identification through your bank or through the JCC system.
The legislation governing the implementation of electronic signatures was adopted in 2018. At the moment, according to Kyriakos Kokkinos, deputy minister of research, innovation and digital policy of the Republic of Cyprus, all the necessary technical preparations have been completed. A plan for the widespread introduction of electronic signature in Cyprus is under consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.
