On December 20, 2024, the Cyprus Minister of Labour and Social Insurance issued Decree ΚΔΠ 455/2024, published in the Official Gazette, outlining mandatory employment terms that employers must disclose through the “Ergani” Information System.

Under Article 11 of the Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions Law, amended in November 2024, all employers are required to register their employees’ essential employment terms in the “Ergani” system between January 2, 2025, and February 28, 2025.

Key Employment Terms to Be Registered in “Ergani”:

  •      Employer’s details and business type (if applicable);
  •      Employee’s personal information;
  •      Employer’s registered address;
  •      Workplace location as per the contract and at the time of registration;
  •      Job title, responsibilities, and specialization;
  •      Start date of employment;
  •      End date (for fixed-term contracts);
  •      Employer details (for temporary employment arrangements);
  •      Probation period terms and duration;
  •      Annual leave entitlement and payment method;
  •      Salary details, payment frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, hourly);
  •      Standard working hours per day/week;
  •      Statement on unpredictable work schedules, if applicable;
  •      Additional benefits, allowances, commissions, cost of living adjustments (COLA), etc.

These requirements ensure transparency in employment relationships and compliance with updated labor regulations in Cyprus.
