According to the decree, in order to protect citizens and limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, both domestic and international flights are completely banned. The decree exempts: cargo flights; flights arriving without passengers for the purpose of repatriation of foreign citizens from the island; flights that fly in exceptional or emergency cases. All specified exceptions are allowed only under a special license from the Ministry of Transport.

In the news, it was reported earlier that all airports will officially start operating on June 9, and Cyprus will be ready to receive tourists. However, the current situation on the island may correct these plans.
